Dan Ballard

Admitted to State Bar of Texas in 1983. He has tried numerous cases to a jury verdict and represented clients across the state. He has always had the highest possible rating by peers ("AV" rating on Martindale Hubbell). He is a member ("Advocate" level) of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has presented accredited CME lectures to over 20,000 Texas physicians on subjects including legal risk management, defense of medical malpractice claims, and defense of Texas Medical Board complaints against physicians.

Jennifer D. Jasper

Jennifer has enjoyed a general civil litigation and appellate practice since 2000. She has prosecuted and defended a wide variety of disputes at the trial and appellate stages, including complex commercial disputes, intellectual property claims, real property disputes, administrative claims and health care liability claims.

From small rural counties to large metropolitan areas, Jennifer has appeared in state and federal courts throughout Texas. She has argued twice before the Texas Supreme Court.

Since 2013, Jennifer has also served as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, where she has taught a seminar on legal writing for litigators.

After years of focusing on commercial litigation and intellectual property, Jennifer returned to where she started, joining Ballard & Simmons, LLP to exclusively practice defense of medical malpractice lawsuits and defense of licensure complaints brought against physicians and nurses.

Brittany E. Box

Admitted to State Bar of Texas in 2015; Brittany has practiced a wide-range of general civil, administrative, personal injury, and healthcare liability litigation as a trial attorney since that time. Since joining Ballard & Simmons, she practices exclusively in defense of medical malpractice lawsuits and defense of licensure complaints brought against physicians and nurses. Brittany was born and raised in Austin, Texas.
